Teaching Reflections
Assessment Samples

I am still working out the kinks of my assessment system. Recently, I created the left assessment, but revised it after the lesson was taught (on right). It still needs work so that it reflects exactly the learning that I am looking for in student work.

This assessment from Spring 2019 focuses on developing student cognition through self-assessment, deep-thinking skills, and perseverance.
By focusing on developing student growth and having them self-assess for evidence, this rubric aims to assess the whole child and their learning rather than the product they produce.

The assessment above and to the left are for students age 11+, but they are more indicative of the kind of assessment rubrics that I wrote for college students.
I am still working on a more appropriate and useful rubric that both I and a student can use to meet our objectives.
