The Sew Together
Syracuse Project
The Sew Together Syracuse Project is just in the initial phase, but aims to begin in summer of 2019.
The Sew Together Project will use donated fabrics to create quilts for recent refugee families. Phase I will be the acquisition of a quilting machine, so quilts can be produced quickly for donation or sale with profits supporting local needs. Phase II is sewing machine repair for two antique sewing machines for teaching children, one treadle-based. Phase III of the project will be opening my studio space to recent refugees for sewing projects.
Partial Funding has been awarded by the Puffin Foundation.
